Claims

• Receives and acknowledges claims daily.
• Immediately notifies principal and its P&I Club of claims.
• Investigates and settles all claims within authority given by the principal
• Obtains additional information/documentation from claimant as required.
• Obtains necessary delivery information and/or receiving information from terminals.
• rants extensions of time on claims if necessary.
• Coordinates handling with vessel's P&I representative or attorney as case may require.
• Arranges survey reports and coordinates with P&I representative as necessary, in accordance with principals' instructions.
• Makes recommendation on claim disposition to the principal and its P&I representative.
• Recovers monies from third parties for cargo damage if applicable.
• Recovers from third parties for equipment damages.
• Issues monthly report to the principal on claim status.
